Presentation

The Accounting and Financial Advisory Technician will support and collaborate in the accounting and financial department of public, private, and non-profit entities. These professionals are responsible for preparing and executing accounting and tax records, monitoring and controlling internal processes of current, administrative, and financial management, and providing relevant information to management or administration for decision-making. With an emphasis on professional practice, this course prepares professionals to face the challenges of the job market and achieve success in their careers.

Graduate Activities

  • Collaborate in supporting administration and/or management in economic and financial management;
  • Collaborate in the implementation of audit systems, for accounting and tax areas;
  • Collaborate in the preparation of the entities' annual budget, in its various aspects: financial, investments, purchases, production, sales, using appropriate methodologies;
  • Ensure the necessary procedures for compliance with the entity's obligations to the Tax and Customs Authority;
  • Organize files and manage accounting and financial information according to the objectives defined by the administration and/or management of the entities;
  • Participate in the development of financial management policies and measures of entities;
  • Plan and promote improvements in computer applications supporting the accounting and financial management of entities;
  • Plan, organize, and execute, autonomously, the financial and management accounting of entities;
  • Prepare reports on the accounting and financial monitoring of entities properly framed in the applied accounting framework.
  • Prepare supporting information for the preparation of financial management opinions and reports aimed at the efficient and effective performance of the entity;
  • Prepare the necessary documentation for compliance with legal obligations, including the documentation necessary for accounting and tax audits, in accordance with the guidelines of management bodies;
  • Select, prepare, and analyse relevant financial information necessary for fulfilling the accounting obligations of public, private, and non-profit entities;
